Before & After

Coolsculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that eliminates fat by freezing it, which will subsequently be destroyed in targeted areas. The process involves choosing the proper applicator for a selected area of stubborn fat. The area to be treated will have an applicator applied so the tissue can be cooled. The area drops to a temperature that is cold enough to crystallize the fat cells, so they die. The body’s natural metabolic reaction will ultimately dispose of the fat without affecting the tissue outside of the area. If you’re looking for a great solution to remove body fat and body contouring, check out Metro Laser’s Coolsculpting at one of our several Philadelphia locations.

coolsculpting addresses conditions such as

Removing excess fat beneath the chin through non-surgical measures. The fat is eliminated through controlled cooling to give the area between the chin and neck a more contoured appearance.

The subcutaneous fat that is located just beneath your skin that you can easily grab between your fingers.

Saddlebags refer to the excess fat that appears around the hip, thighs, pelvis and buttocks. These fat deposits can be difficult to remove with diet and exercise.

Bra bulge is the excess fat that juts out between the armpits and chest of a woman. The fat is usually flabby and will often be apparent through clothes.

When the flanks (area just above the hips) extend to a width that is wider than usual. This may happen when there is excess fat on the buttocks and hips.

An accumulation of excess fat located on the back. The droopy fat can cover the area right beneath the shoulders to the waist.

Love handles are the sections of fat that can develop around the waistline, particularly the sides and front of the stomach. The fat will protrude from the sides and hang in rolls on the lower area of the back.

When excess fat on the inner thighs creates friction as they move together when walking. As this consistently happens, a person may develop chafing on the inner thighs.

CoolSculpting is one of the best ways to reduce annoying jiggly upper arm flab.

Metrolaser is philadelphia's top provider of this revolutionary technology for permanent fat reduction.

This is the most well documented non-surgical, fat-reduction procedure on the market. It uses controlled cooling to  eliminate stubborn fat cells from specific areas of the body. This treatment is beneficial because it targets fat cells directly, causing them to freeze and eventually be naturally eliminated from the body.

The advantage of CoolSculpting over other fat reduction methods is that it is non-invasive, meaning no incisions, needles, or anaesthesia are required. This means that there is no down-time after the procedure and patients can return to their normal activities immediately.

CoolSculpting is a safe and effective way to reduce stubborn fat without undergoing invasive surgery. It can be tailored to treat a variety of body areas to achieve the desired results.

By using the new CoolSculpting Elite applicator, the procedure can be safely performed with an applicator cup to increase direct tissue contact at a lower temperature.  The all new CoolSculpting Elite applicators also treat a larger area and remove more fat than the previous CoolSculpting applicators as well as offering less discomfort and much higher patient satisfaction.

For patients who are getting CoolSculpting treatment for the first time there are a series of questions that some patients may have before the procedure.  Here are some common ones.

A cooling device is used on targeted areas of fat, so that the fat cells are destroyed and naturally eliminated from the body.

The process begins with a consultation with a trained CoolSculpting provider to determine if the treatment is right for you and to identify the specific areas that need to be treated. During the procedure, a CoolSculpting applicator is applied to the treatment area, delivering controlled cooling to the fat cells.

A technician gently marks an area of fat that you want to reduce, then with proper selection of the various applicators, the carefully positioned applicator attaches to the body with suction and safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin.  The treated fat cells are crystallized-frozen, then die, without disturbing the surrounding tissue.  Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells, which subsequently begins to show a slimmer more contoured body.

The sensation during the treatment is typically described as intense cold initially, but this sensation typically subsides within a few minutes. You may feel a tingling, numbing, or aching sensation during the treatment, but this is usually well-tolerated and temporary.

CoolSculpting is not painful and involves little discomfort.

Patients should expect to feel an extreme cooling sensation in the areas where they want fat reduction. After a few minutes, the area will be numb, so the patient should feel comfortable enough to read a magazine during the procedure.

Patients may experience some mild, but temporary, discomfort after the procedure. They should be able to return to their normal activities the same day of the procedure.

After the CoolSculpting treatment, some patients may notice a little swelling, redness and itching, but these minor effects should clear up within days.  Treatments with the new coolsculpting elite have been quicker and better than the previous model.

Once the fat cells are destroyed with the CoolSculpting treatment, those fat cells are gone long term just like with other forms of fat reduction such as liposuction.

Although the fat cells are gone, you should stick with a healthy diet and regular exercise to prevent accumulating fat in more unwanted areas.

With Coolsculpting elite, each treatment can take from 35 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes.  The amount of treatments that you need will depend on how much fat you want to reduce.  Two treatments per area are typical, spaced about 6 weeks apart.

You can usually expect to notice results about six-eight weeks after the procedure with final results being visible in 16 weeks. If you want to increase the fat reduction and contouring, have more treatments in multiple areas.

As with any treatment that has proven itself successful, there are knockoffs that pop up to take advantage of uninformed consumers. CoolSculpting machines are professional medical devices which have been specifically approved by the FDA for their application. Cheap consumer grade devices are neither powerful nor sophisticated enough to cause true cryolipolysis.

CoolSculpting machines are only available through a medical facility after a physician consultation. The device is produced by Zeltiq who holds the patent for this cryolipolysis technology.

The Coolsculpting machine was designed for physicians and aesthetic specialists to operate in a controlled environment, such as an office or medical spa.  Professionals are certified, specially trained and supervised while learning to implement the procedure.

To achieve the best aesthetic results, it’s recommended that a patient consults a certified professional who specializes in body contouring processes.  They will be able to evaluate the patient, choose the best applicator for the fatty area and treat that area without disturbing the surrounding area.

They will also be able to properly address any risks or complications that may occur during the procedure.  Each patient is different and reactions to the treatment may vary from patient to patient.  Having a trained professional in Philadelphia perform the CoolSculpting procedure will ensure the best outcomes from the technique and the most comfort during the treatment.

CoolSculpting is non-invasive and Liposuction is more of an invasive surgical procedure that requires more time to recover.

CoolSculpting, like Liposuction, targets specific areas of the body to reduce fat cells and contour your shape.  What makes them vastly different is that CoolSculpting does not use needles to penetrate the skin like the liposuction laser and it requires no downtime.  Liposuction requires at least a week recovery before resuming normal activities and may take 3-4 months to fully recover, along with aftercare.  Liposuction can use a laser such as LASER Lipo to melt the fat and suck it from the body, but CoolSculpting uses an applicator to freeze the fat and lets the body naturally remove the dead cells from the body.

CoolSculpting at our Philadelphia Med Spa takes about 30-45- minutes for each area.  Liposuction varies in length depending on the amount of fat being removed.
